My Experience as a Global Scholar

I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been a Global Scholar this year. The program has been an incredible learning experience, both academically and personally.

One of the highlights of the program has been the chance to work with such a diverse group of students. I have learned so much from my peers, both about their cultures and their perspectives on the world. I have also made some great friends, and I know that these relationships will last a lifetime.

In addition to the academic and social opportunities, the Global Scholars program has also provided me with the chance to give back to my community. I was able to write a grant proposal for my organization, Club Moai, which was funded by the program. This funding will allow us to provide a summer camp experience for teenagers with special needs, many of whom come from Mandarin-speaking homes. I am so excited to see the impact that this program will have on the lives of these teenagers.

Overall, I have had an amazing experience as a Global Scholar. I have learned so much, both about myself and the world around me. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this program, and I know that it will have a lasting impact on my life.

In addition to the things I’ve mentioned, I would also like to add that the Global Scholars program has helped me to develop my critical thinking skills, my ability to work independently and as part of a team, and my communication skills. I have also learned a great deal about global issues, and I am now more aware of my own privilege and the need to work for social justice.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been a Global Scholar, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about the world and making a difference.
